About Charl Roba
Charl Roba enjoys writing stories and learning about anything and everything - especially when she really should be doing something else. Her debut fantasy novel, More than Masks in Winter, is still being written; she’ll be on the lookout for beta readers soon. In the meantime, please, if you’re feeling up to it, have a gander around. There’s not much here, but this is the way to Knowwood.
About the Knowwood Project
More than Masks in Winter is the first in a series set in the Meanderway - a rich, expansive fantasy world Charl Roba has built steadily over more time than she’d care to count or admit. Stories from this world are collected and stored in Roba’s Knowwood Tree. With an interest in language and a desire to see the natural world, Roba began by collecting streams of idioms on her travels; strange expressions with explanations that, when recalled, would always remind her of the wonderful folk and curious things she encountered along the way.
Support Charl Roba
Full disclosure, Charl Roba does not like coffee, but if you would like to support her to spend more time writing stories from the Meanderway and beyond, and if you would like to access these strange tales sooner, please kindly consider giving here.

If you’re interested in escaping into the Meanderway, Roba Writes is the place for you. In addition, here presented are many links collated as one. Why as one? Largely because of the risk of what might happen should the split little links link. They’d form chains, chains that would come together and then fashion into long veils with the potential to coat and obscure the faces of villains so intent on destruction and control. Well, here you go.
